Wig-inspired wave names describe pattern families, not universal specifications. Body wave shows broad, smooth bends; deep wave repeats a stronger, more frequent pattern; loose wave separates into relaxed sections. The useful comparison is pattern scale and surface definition, not the label.
Hold the length and color steady when you compare families, so the pattern is the only visible change. At the same length, deep wave usually reads denser and more defined than loose wave, while body wave reads the most continuous.
