WigTryAI Privacy Policy

WigTryAI is a browser-based AI hairstyle and wig-inspired preview service operated by Junjie Zou and available at wigtryai.com. This policy applies to the WigTryAI website, consumer and seller experiences, and the internal Pinterest analytics integration described below.

This policy is effective and was last updated on August 9, 2026. By using WigTryAI, you acknowledge the data practices described here.

When you use a hairstyle preview, we process the selfie or portrait you upload, any hairstyle reference image you choose, the options you select, and the generated preview. If you create an account, we may also process your name, email address, authentication identifiers, credit balance, generation history, and sharing choices.

We receive technical and usage information such as browser and device details, approximate country derived from an IP address, pages viewed, referring URLs, feature interactions, and pseudonymous analytics identifiers. Links may contain attribution values such as source, channel, or an opaque pin identifier so we can understand which campaign or Pin led to a visit.

When you purchase credits or a subscription, our payment provider may process payment details, tax information, and billing contact information. WigTryAI receives transaction status and related account records but does not receive or store your full payment card number.

If you apply to the WigTryAI Creator Program, we collect the name, contact email, primary platform, and public profile URL you submit. If your application is approved, we may later collect your country, WigTryAI account email, and PayPal email, and keep commission and payout records needed to operate the program.

We use information to provide and secure the service, generate and display hairstyle previews, maintain accounts and credits, process payments, provide sharing features, answer support requests, prevent abuse, review and administer Creator Program applications and payouts, understand product performance, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell customer images or personal information. We do not use customer images for identity verification, and we do not use them to train AI models unless we first ask for explicit permission.

Customer selfies and hairstyle reference images are sent to service providers that perform hosting, storage, and AI generation on our behalf. They are used to produce the requested preview and operate the service, subject to provider agreements and security controls.

AI previews are visual estimates. They may not reproduce exact texture, growth direction, color, fit, or real-world styling results.

WigTryAI's Pinterest developer application is an internal, read-only analytics integration used only by the WigTryAI team for WigTryAI's own authorized Pinterest Business account. It is not a customer-facing Pinterest connection.

The integration may request the minimum read permissions needed for account and Pin analytics, including user_accounts:read and pins:read. It retrieves Organic Pin performance information such as impressions, saves, outbound clicks, Pin identifiers, and related account-level metrics so the WigTryAI team can evaluate its original hairstyle content and plan future content.

The integration does not create, edit, or delete Pins, Boards, ads, or campaigns; connect customer or third-party Pinterest accounts; automate follows, saves, comments, messages, or other engagement; scrape Pinterest; sell or share Pinterest API data; or use Pinterest API data to target advertising outside Pinterest.

Pinterest API responses are processed on demand and are not retained as raw Pinterest API data. Pinterest credentials are kept secret, restricted to authorized WigTryAI operations, and used only for the authorized WigTryAI Business account. Website attribution values such as an opaque pinparameter identify a traffic source; they are not Pinterest login credentials or a copy of a visitor's Pinterest profile.

Paid subscriptions are processed by Creem. Creem may collect payment details, tax information, and billing contact information according to its own checkout and privacy terms.

We use PostHog to measure page visits and key actions such as starting a try-on, completing a generated look, sharing, or opening checkout. PostHog stores a pseudonymous analytics identifier in browser cookies and local storage, and may process the visitor IP address to provide approximate country information. We do not send PostHog selfies, image files, form contents, or raw error messages, and we do not use email addresses as analytics identifiers. On public product pages, PostHog may record a pseudonymous session replay so we can see where the experience is confusing. All inputs are masked; images, video, canvas content, file-upload areas, account details, console logs, and network request contents are excluded. Replays are disabled on seller and local administration pages.

WigTryAI also keeps a first-party activity history so authorized support staff can troubleshoot an individual customer journey. This may associate page paths, visit duration, selfie-selection events, sign-ins, try-on status, sharing, and credit activity with a pseudonymous customer record or signed-in account. We do not place selfie files, filenames, form contents, or full URL query strings in this activity history.

We disclose information only as needed to providers that support hosting, storage, AI generation, authentication, analytics, payments, customer support, and security; when you intentionally create a share link; when required by law; or when necessary to protect users, WigTryAI, and the public.

Providers process information for the services they supply to WigTryAI and may operate in countries other than your own. We do not give service providers permission to sell customer images or use them for their independent advertising.

Original customer selfies are automatically deleted from WigTryAI storage within 24 hours. Generated previews may be retained and remain available in account history or recent results until they are removed, the related account is deleted, or a broader deletion request is completed, subject to limited backups, fraud prevention, and legal obligations.

Account, payment-status, security, and support records are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the service, disputes, compliance, and legitimate business records. PostHog and other service providers apply their own configured retention periods. Raw Pinterest API responses are not retained.

Creator applications, acceptance communications, referral reviews, commission calculations, and payout records may be retained as business records for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the program, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations.

Detailed first-party customer activity is kept for up to 180 days. Payment, credit, try-on, security, and other business records may follow the longer retention described above when they are needed to operate the service or meet legal obligations.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. WigTryAI and its providers may process information in countries where they operate, which may have different data protection laws from your country.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or a portable copy of personal information. You can remove individual previews from visible history where that control is available and contact us for broader account, preview, or shared-link deletion.

We may need to verify a request and may retain limited information when required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or resolving disputes. You may also control browser cookies or storage through your browser settings, although doing so can affect parts of the service.

WigTryAI is not directed to children under 13, and the Pinterest developer integration is not available to children or external users. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

We may update this policy as WigTryAI, its providers, or applicable requirements change. We will publish the revised policy on this page and update the effective date. Material changes may also be announced through the service where appropriate.
