What These Statistics Count
The unit of analysis is one completed hairstyle generation event — not one person. A user can generate several looks in a single session while comparing styles, lengths, colors, or fringe, so these statistics describe exploration activity inside WigTryAI, not a survey of 10,000 people and not a measure of population-wide hairstyle preferences.
Three details matter when you quote these numbers:
- Sample: 10,000 completed generation events, version 1.0 dataset (July 2026 snapshot).
- Denominators: hairstyle, family, length, and color shares use 10,000 events. Bang-style shares use the 1,764 events with an explicit bang or fringe label.
- Limits: the data records what was generated, not why. It can be affected by the available catalog, naming, traffic composition, and repeat sessions. See Methodology and Limitations in the full report.
